Some changes to the shotgun range for the winter.
- Voice call on Trap has been removed. We do this every winter since the batteries will not survive. Cord and Corded releases will be used and Solo delay can be set if shooting by yourself.
- 5 Stand – the Rabbit (Trap H) has been disabled for the winter since it cannot run through the snow. Even though Rabbits are pretty good in the snow, this one is not.
- Signage has been put up for the pattern board usage and to close out Stand 3 when using.
- Any remote Controllers will still be in the shelter but now located in a labelled mailbox.
October 2024 Winterization has been completed:
First, remember that Range K is still open all year long for members and their guests to enjoy
The Committee just finished winterizing the range on October 26th. The trap voice call has now been removed.
You can still use the Trap/Skeet Wireless remote in the “mailbox” inside the shack or the wired one at the trap/skeet field. Please do not forget–in either case–to return the remote to the mailbox or rewind the wired remote on the hook.
5-Stand House H (running rabbit) has not been decommissioned for the winter this year; the committee has converted to a looping chondel style target (see the seperate post on this forum for details)

December 15th, 2024 Update for Members:
Committee has shovelled the snow off of the skeet and trap stations (including the Trap handicap blocks). Members should be able to enjoy these stations until the next snow.
A malfunction was identified with 5-stand thrower A, however this has been fixed. All machines remain well loaded and ready for members to throw targets if you choose to come enjoy the Range K over the Christmas season.
